The Vioz gives you breathable insulation and comfort regulation in an athletic fit for changing conditions and stop-and-go mountain activities in autumn and winter.
Waterproof, windproof & breathable Powertex
First up, the extremely-breathable 2.5-layer shell fabric (water column: 10,000 mm, MVTR: 40,000 g/m²/24h) provides reliable weather protection and enables a weight-saving construction. We give it a PFC-free DWR (durable water repellent) finish and welded seams.
Active insulation
What really sets this jacket apart though, is the Polartec® Alpha® Direct hybrid wool blend insulation, which is exclusive to SALEWA®. Its lofted fibres are connected to a solid mesh core and release excess body heat before it builds to cause saturation and chilling discomfort. We place it strategically under a mesh liner at the front, back and the tops of the sleeves. The additional wool content adds a further level of thermoregulation and wear comfort.
Mountain-focused details
For additional protection, the Vioz has a collar integrated into the hood with closure up to the chin, and an insulated hood with stretch elasticated front opening. With a zipped chest pocket, ergonomic sleeves and stretch-edged cuffs and cordlock hem adjustment system to seal the wind out.
