Motion guidance
The Ultra Train 3 is the third generation of our successful speed hiking shoe. It’s built with a wrapping upper made of seamless mesh fabric for advanced breathability. At critical wear zones, the upper is reinforced with TPU film. Motion Guidance technology in the sole and midsole combine to promote natural movement and support surefooted stability over any terrain.
Flexibility & support
Flexibility, a precise fit and good support all come courtesy of the functional 3F system, while the Anti-Rock Heel Cup fixes the heel firmly in place for extra stability and protection. Inside, an OrthoLite® footbed provides additional cushioning and moisture wicking to keep feet cool and dry. You’ll appreciate the way that the stretch gaiter tongue keeps trail debris out too.
Sure grip and traction
The POMOCA® outsole was developed exclusively with SALEWA® and performs well both on rock and on wet and slippery surfaces. Its S Path tread design has been studied to maintain the foot’s centre of pressure on the ground, to enable a fast rolling heel-to-toe transition on uneven terrain. The special lugs offer outstanding grip and traction for varied terrain and variable conditions.
The Ultra Train 3 is a good choice for speed hiking and fast-moving, lighter mountain-based activities.
